racial fetishization is racism.
it is not a compliment.
stop pretending that you are ~appreciating the culture~, and being respectful.
reducing the many varied people within a culture to the parts that you think are cute is not being appreciative. racism is not respectful.
stop.

THANK YOU FOR ASKING THIS because I constantly read stories where the pregnant partner is a radiant, glowing ball of eternal sunshine and fuzzy feelings with absolutely no health problems and I side-eye the author pretty strongly because pregnancy is a strange experience.
I can only really come at it from the perspective of someone who wanted to get pregnant and planned accordingly, so I can’t really imagine the physical, emotional, financial or mental state of someone who either didn’t want to or didn’t plan to get pregnant. But it’s really going to depend on where your character is during the pregnancy? Because the thing is that no two pregnancies are going to be the same, so these are just my experiences (I can’t emphasize this enough).
Also my answer ended up being a lot longer than expected sorry, even though I still feel like I’m forgetting things.
